Usui Reiki
“I come here to listen, to nestle in the curve of the roots in a soft hollow of pine needles, to lean my bones against the column of white pine, to turn off the voice in my head until I can hear the voices outside it: the shhh of wind in needles, water trickling over rock, nuthatch tapping, chipmunks digging, beechnut falling, mosquito in my ear, and something more - something that is not me, for which we have no language, the wordless being of others in which we are never alone. After the drumbeat of my mother’s heart, this was my first language.”

Energy Attuning
Reiki is a spiritual healing modality that invites a pathway for the universal life force energy - God, divine, love - to move through you. We all have this energy within us, so receiving Reiki simply amplifies and clears your energetic channels to promote its natural balance.
This touch therapy promotes healing by tapping into the electromagnetic field of the body. By tending to these fields we connect to the electric currents in the subtlest layers within the body, giving space for your body to clarify its unique path for regulation and restoration.
As a Reiki-attuned practitioner, I have been taught, trained, and given permission by experienced Reiki Masters, the Reiki Godmothers, to offer Reiki. This process is made complete by you - as Reiki will only enter where it is invited. I hold these sessions as sacred ceremony, weaving wisdom from the Five Elements to provide support for your way forward.
If you are coming to Reiki for the first time (or for the first time with me), please review the FAQs below or reach out to me if you have any questions.

In Eastern Medicine there are 5 Elements: Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, and Fire which provide insight into the Yin and Yang (balance/imbalances) of our Ki/Qi (the life force balance of our body, mind, and spirit). The 5 Elements is a diagnostic framework which reveals the needed pathways for balance - each element being associated with a season, organ, emotion, sound, taste, smell, etc. Reiki through this lens allows me to sense into the nature of the 5 Elements within you, and how to invite a balance of the elements into your life.

Reiki is not psychic mediumship. Some practitioners hold both the gifts of psychic mediumship and Reiki, and integrate this wisdom into sessions. While I recognize my own gifts of seeing, my sessions do not integrate psychic mediumship. At times, thanks to the wisdom of the 5 Elements, I am able to share insights with you to guide your path.

I’ll answer this with a personal story. Reiki found me as I was in a season of profound grief - I was still processing the compounding loss of loved ones and trying to discern how to feel the earth underneath myself. I held skepticism around this modality, viewing it as something that was not aligned with my christian upbringing. But I was thirsty for a renewed relationship with the Divine. Following this guidance I received Reiki from a trusted friend and it changed my life.
I found Reiki allowed me to open up even more in my spiritual path and expanded my devotional practices. Reiki deepened my walk in the sacred, opened my heart, and helped me find deeper companionship with the Way (God, Mother Divine, they-of-many names). I came to realize that this practice is the ancient practice found in all paths of spiritual inquiry - the laying on of hands as many may know it as.
So this question of is a personal one for you to pray about for yourself. But, I offer you the prayer I held many years ago when I found myself in the darkest shadow of the night: “God, I do not want to let you go, but I am having a hard time holding on to you. So, I’m begging you, please do not let me go.” From these words, the Divine showed me their multitudes in ways I’d never imagined.
What is your prayer?
